UniSA Australian HPV Super Series (AHPVSS) and Victorian Human Powered Grand Prix Series (VHPGPS) are pleased to announce their 2020 HPV Racing Calendars.
The 2020 AHPVSS season will see the continuation of the six round, eight race format, incorporating regional and metropolitan events. The series will once again culminate with the 24hr Australian International Pedal Prix at Murray Bridge on the weekend of 12 and 13 September.
The VHPGPS consists of four rounds with the incorporation of two new events, one at Lang Lang, the other at Winton Motor Raceway, utilising the 3km National Circuit configuration.
“Human Powered Vehicle racing has been well served by the existing format over recent years” said AHPVSS Chairman Andrew McLachlan. “2020 will provide a solid platform for the development of a national series.”
VHPGPS Chairman, Nathan Boon expressed his enthusiasm for the developments, particularly the Winton Round. “Taking the VHPGPS to Winton Motor Raceway is a big plus for our competitors in Victoria. Utilising the full International Circuit allows teams to use the pitlane and pit facilities making for a more spacious and safer experience” he said.
Across both Series competitors will now have the opportunity to compete from March through to October.
