With one month to go, entries are still open for Round 5 of the UniSA Australian HPV Super Series, and Round 3 of the Epiroc Pedal Prix Series, when Human Powered Vehicle racing returns to the picturesque foreshores of Geographe Bay in Busselton on Sunday the 21st of August.
It’s been some three years since the Series has visited Western Australia and now with the lifting of COVID restrictions, racing can resume on this ideal oceanside circuit.
Thanks to the support of the City of Busselton, some 40 vehicles are expected to take part with entries coming from local schools, the Perth metropolitan district, South Australia and Victoria.
“It’s tremendous to be able to race again after a significantly difficult few years due to COVID,” stated Series CEO Marcus Lacey. “Coming back to Busselton is a real highlight of the calendar. We hope to see as many local and Perth based teams take to the track as possible.”
The event is a round of the national UniSA Australian HPV Super Series, as well as the Epiroc WA Pedal Prix Series. “We are thrilled to be part of the Busselton event as it is the climax to our three round Series here in Western Australia,” said WA Chairperson Ben Clayton.
“Working with WAHPV Association Chairperson Ben Clayton and his team, along with the support of The City of Busselton, enables us stage what will be a great day of racing,” confirmed Lacey.
