Festival of pedal prix returns to Victoria park

Adelaide, 13 June 2024

Round 3 of the 2024 UniSA Australian HPV Super Series promises a thrilling weekend of human powered vehicle racing.

The Festival of Pedal Prix, one of the most anticipated events in the human powered vehicle (HPV) racing calendar, is back this weekend at Victoria Park. More than 200 teams and 2000 students from across Southern Australia will compete in Round 3 of the 2024 UniSA Australian HPV Super Series, the largest HPV racing competition in the world.

The Festival of Pedal Prix is a showcase of innovation, teamwork, and sustainability, as students tune and race their own HPV vehicles on the 1.1 km circuit. The event features three days of racing. On Friday, junior school teams will take to the western loop circuit, on Saturday all community teams from u13 to Masters will tackle the full Victoria Park course, and on Sunday, more than 120 middle and senior school teams will challenge riders and each other in close competition.

The Series is sponsored by the University of South Australia, with Boost Juice proudly supporting the weekend’s Festival of Pedal Prix.

The event aims to promote STEM education, healthy lifestyles, and environmental awareness among young people with a real emphasis on community.
